Very Helpful

This book was very helpful. Many details for a newbie but still a few things unclear for the non-technical person. There was quite a bit of information about WordPress which confused me a little about what to do if I don't use WordPress. I kind of had to read between the lines there. I am a true novice so this isn't meant to be a negative comment. There is just so much information that it's all difficult to connect. I still give this book 5 starts becauseit has helped me more than anything else I have read. The author did a great job of explaining most everything. Some things were probably thought to be "obvious" but to a newbie they aren't. I have not yet seen the videos which may answer my other questions. I kind of liken this subject to one just placing their hands on a keyboard at the computer for the first time - with a completely black screen - what do I do first and how do I do it? I hate to admit that I need so much clarity that I can't understand the basic information. For instance, the WordPress issue - Unless I just overlooked it there should be some sort of indication of how to use this information with other web hosts, even if it's just that you can. Understand, I am a true NEWBIE and I realize it's possible what I'm saying doesn't even make sense. But, the main thing is that I still had questions when I finished the book. I am sure that is very normal. Having said all that - I like the author's writing style and the way it flowed. It made more sense to me than anything else I have read. I'm asking the author to write another book with more details for those of us who don't understand it all.Or, is that even possible?

Another hit for C.M.Steele. This is a book for a special style of readers... if you don't like insta love, over the top alpha billionaires who get what they want and female characters who takes a chance at love with out a major fight keep looking...this book has all the above and that's what makes it a great read! Dual pov, love and sex that's never ending, a little danger, and an hea. In my opinion it was a fantastic read!!

Thank you for writing a longer story. It allowed for more character development which I enjoyed. Loved Cameron and Natalie. Hope there is a story for Simon/Emmy, Tim/Vanessa? If you like insta-love, OTT alpha, possessive males you can't go wrong with this book. Looking forward to the next one. Keep them coming.

Este livro ensina economia a partir de seus princípios básicos, usando exemplos lúdicos, mas voltado a questões importantes. Contudo, esse entendimento normalmente não chega ao público. Este livro busca justamente estabelecer esse elo entre o economista acadêmico e a discussão cotidiana.
O livro desenvolve e aplica a questões concretas o substrato da lógica econômica, buscando consolidar ao longo dos capítulos os pilares dessa lógica ao invés de entrar em detalhes específicos das discussões dos jornais. Aqui, o leitor não encontrará nada sobre a reunião do Copom, nem os últimos dados da cotação do dólar. Para ensinar economia, falamos de coisas como o colapso da civilização que habitava a Ilha da Páscoa, a fabricação de vinho francês a partir do suco de laranja, e as casas com janelas cobertas por tijolos. Não parece economia? Apenas por enquanto.

Em termos de estrutura, o livro está dividido em duas partes. A primeira lança as bases teóricas do pensamento econômico moderno, enquanto a segunda se dedica a aplicar esta lógica, ao entendimento de temas particularmente caros ao país, como educação, comércio e mercados de crédito.

O ponto de partida de toda nossa análise está nas escolhas das pessoas e em sua interação com o mundo ao redor. Raciocinando a partir das escolhas individuais, mostraremos como são determinados os preços, os salários, os empregos e a produção da economia. Falaremos sobre a feia fumaça que sobe apagando as estrelas, as leis que apenas parecem aumentar os salários, o problema do pai do Woody Allen, e muitos outros casos. Em seguida, explicaremos quando e porque o governo deve intervir na economia e os princípios básicos que nortearão as decisões sobre políticas públicas. Ficará claro porque o governo não deve interferir com os impactos sobre o preço do ouro de uma charge ofensiva a Maomé feita por um cartunista dinamarquês, e porque o governo deve intervir a fim de reduzir o congestionamento nas ruas de Londres.

Entendida a teoria, passaremos a questões ligadas ao debate corrente no Brasil, como tributação e instituições políticas. Não falaremos sobre as particularidades das reformas discutidas na conjuntura, o que importa para nós é a lógica econômica por trás de cada assunto. Por exemplo, se queremos saber sobre as políticas públicas adequadas para a previdência, vamos antes entender o problema das cigarras e das formigas. Isso, no entanto, não significa que trataremos desses temas de maneira abstrata. Para discutir estas questões, é necessário atentar para a realidade, e o livro está recheado de dados reais e de histórias concretas como a de um banqueiro que ganhou o Prêmio Nobel da Paz. Algumas passagens do livro podem parecer óbvias, mas o óbvio com freqüência desemboca no surpreendente.

O Brasil tem constantemente recorrido a truques de economágica para tentar resolver seus problemas, implementando políticas públicas que tentam remediá-los sem tocar em suas causas fundamentais. A relevância do livro está em diluir conceitos de falhas de mercado dentro de exemplos cotidianos, tornando a compreensão mais simples. Um outro benefício do livro é justamente o de introduzir no pensamento do leitor o cálculo racional dos custos e benefícios de determinadas políticas, desfazendo o senso comum e os achismos que, em geral, permeiam esses debates. E esse aprendizado, naturalmente, pode ser estendido para outras questões fora do texto. Ademais, a leitura é muito fluida e não requer conhecimento instrumental de economia.

I bought these for all my Parish School of Religion teachers, all my Middle school teachers, and all my LifeTeen teachers.
A must have for ministry. Kids ask all kinds of questions about the Bible, and this book is well laid out, informative, and concise.
Would recommend it for anyone who wants to seriously read the Bible. It answers a lot of practical questions and defines terms, give historical background, and offers the links of Scripture to our beliefs, our practice, and our Catholic teachings. You need this book!

Not sure

I am not sure if this series is worth the effort to continue reading. Even though it was well written and the story line was going well; I felt like I was not getting enough information in what was written. In a way I felt like I was being cheated by what was not written.
If a person wished to finish the series and did not have Kindle Unlimited, the person would have to spend about $2.00 dollars for maybe 20 pages. So not worth the money then!

I enjoyed the book as far as it went, but had not realized it was so short. It felt as though the book had ended before it got to the end, if that makes any sense.

I understand there are sequels, available for additional payments, but I was disappointed that this one was so short and ended so abruptly.

When I started reading it and realized it was just a "teaser" and looked into what is what going to take to complete the story and realized I was going to have to buy it in "bits and pieces," I didn't even bother getting into it any further. I guess it's different for me when you are actually reading whole books as parts of a series but when you are reading a few chapters at a time and then waiting for more, it's really not worth the effort. Sorry...maybe when this whole "book=series" is written I'll revisit it and change my review at that time.

The Virus Maker

The Virus Maker is the fourth and final book in James Cox's ManLove at the End of the World series. It easily works as a stand-alone. I have not read the other books in the series and I still enjoyed Colton, Jace, and Mitch's tale. I do think having read the other books I would know more about what happened from the moment people started getting sick to the point Colton walks outside and realizes something has happened, but this did not distract from the story.

Colton and Mitch are working on a cure for one deadly disease when everything that could possibly go wrong does just that. The immediate events that follow forever changes the two men and the world as we know it. Mitch believes Colton to be dead. Colton is trying to hide what has happened to him while searching for Mitch. Jace is just looking to get laid while surviving.

Jace provided a humorous side to this sexed up little novella. He is a shameless horny flirt. He is a hungry horny sexy man looking for someone to enjoy. He's constant flirting is highly entertaining. Colton's reactions to Jace's very forward advances are amusing. Jace, Mitch, and Colton together enjoying the pleasures they have to offer each other is ridiculously hot.

Not what I was expecting. Thought there would be a little more of story/plot and answers. But nope. Disappointed. This was just not a book for me. Might try other books by this author though. 2 stars :(
